Clevedon Parks
Twelve walkers took part in the Footpaths Group’s traditional ‘Christmas Pudding Burn-off’. Usually this involves a short stroll of a mile or two on the seafront followed by a long coffee at a pub or cafe. With the crowds on the seafront during the coronavirus pandemic and the current need for social distancing that was not a practical proposition this year.
Instead we arranged to make a 2.2 mile tour of some of Clevedon’s charming small Victorian parks. We met at the seating overlooking the pier in Pier Copse, Alexandra Road. To facilitate social distancing we split into two groups walking five minutes apart. I led the first group and Philip led the second. The weather was cold but dry with some sun and was excellent for walking.
