Ten walkers and two dogs set out from the car park in Long Ashton/Failand wood on a dull but dry day.

This four mile walk was a fairly casual affair and we walked through the woods admiring the views across Long Ashton down to the Gatcombe Farm Shop where we had a coffee stop.

Then refreshed we made our way along the road and through the woods with a slight uphill climb back to the car park – on to the Angel PH with its welcoming fire and pleasant lunch
