Nine intrepid members made the most of a thankfully dry day investigating the area around the Clifton Suspension Bridge.

After parking in the North Road area of Leigh Woods, we made our way to the suspension bridge and spent twenty minutes looking in the new Visitor Centre before progressing onto the bridge proper. Various stops were made to look at points of interest on the bridge and the views down the gorge and across to the Observatory and cave in the cliff face below it.

At the Clifton end of the bridge we crossed to the other side of the road and walked back across the bridge, taking in the views of Clifton and up the river to the Cumberland Basin and Hotwells area, before halting at a convenient Coffee stall for a short break.
