We had a successful working party at the Marine Hill drinking fountain on the 9th April. Five members cleared out the open drains, swept the pavement and took a stand against the lovely old fountain being used as a litter bin.

We ascertained that the rainwater drains and pipes around the fountain are in need of a thorough clean, and I have asked Gareth Withers from North Somerset Council to arrange this, supplying photographs kindly taken by Angela.

We will return to this area later this year as there is more work to be done in and around the adjoining copse.
