We had a surprisingly good turn-out for the September working party given that it was bumped to a Tuesday due to poor weather.
We tackled the copses at either end of Hangstone Quarry, concentrating on making the path connecting them usable by the public. Overhanging branches and weeds were cut back, and soil and leaves removed from the path.
The work attracted approving comments from local residents, one of whom expressed interest in joining the Society.
