Clevedon Parks Walk aka "The Christmas Pudding Burn-off"

Ten walkers took part in the Footpaths Group’s traditional Christmas Pudding Burn-off.

It was a windy morning but we were fortunate in having a break from the recent heavy rain.

The walk involved a 2.2 mile tour of some of Clevedon’s charming small Victorian parks. We met at the seating overlooking the pier in Pier Copse, Alexandra Road.

After leaving the copse we went through Alexandra Gardens and walked along Marine Hill. Just beyond the church we turned on to the footpath, made the short steep climb to the top and then out onto Dial Hill Road.

We descended to Hill Road via the Zig Zag and turned into Herbert Road, noting the elegant architecture on the way before going round Herbert Gardens.

We followed Linden and Princes Roads to Sunhill Park and after leaving the park went down Albert Road and along the Donkey Path.

We returned to The Beach via the sea front and enjoyed a coffee at Scarlett’s Restaurant.
