6 Civic Society volunteers tidied up Pier Copse with the kind assistance of Bill Thompson from the Woodcutters.
Bill made short work of the overgrown hedge, opening up the blocked view along the seafront. In addition, paths and seating areas were weeded and brushed, and the raised flower beds put in good order. A large amount of brash was gathered together, which the Council promptly removed as requested.
Risk assessments were completed in advance to ensure that the work was Covid-secure, and social distancing was maintained throughout.
Many thanks to all concerned, especially Bill, Angela for making many of the arrangements, and our contacts at North Somerset Council for supporting us.
