Tissington
We woke to a sunny if coolish morning.
All eighteen of us walked to Tissington along the disused railway line which ran as a tourist line from Ashbourne to Buxton from 1899 to 1963. Then we explored the beautiful village of Tissington with its stone buildings and six wells.
A cross country route brought fourteen of us back to the hotel in really warm sunny weather.
Thank you Phil and Ross for organising transport for the others.
Main walk 5.5 miles. Altitude gained 700 feet.
