On 26th April the Environment Group resumed its programme of working parties, having taken into account the current low infection rates for Covid and the progress of the national vaccination campaign.
We cleared the area around the Marine Hill water trough of leaves, litter and mud, cut back overhanging foliage, rodded through the Victorian drain, and repaired a small section of the wall separating the pavement from the car park area. We also weeded carefully along the wall adjacent to the copse, leaving wild flowers in situ.
We also welcomed a new member, Mark Kenyon. Plans for next month were discussed over a welcome coffee outside the Moon and Sixpence. Social distancing was maintained throughout.
